Photo: DAVID TAURANGA This week's Good Bloke Award win- ner is Tom Collins of Manurewa who was nominated by his daughter Traci Collins also of Manurewa. Traci writes: My dad Tom has been helping renovate my property and has spent the last few months nearly living at my house. Every day he's been doing wall- papering and painting among other things while I have been at work, meaning I don't have to work all weekend. Dad has dealt with all the issues that have arisen with no complaints. Each day he leaves exhausted but still finds the time to help out friends by mowing their lawns. Thanks Dad, love Traci.'' The Good Bloke Award recog- nises the men in our community who go the extra mile to help others. Send your nomination including daytime contact phone numbers for you and the person you are nominating to: Good Bloke Award, Manukau Courier, PO Box 76-400, Manukau 2241, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Still time to get on roll for byelection Time is running out to get enrolled for the Bot- any byelection. The last chance to enrol or update enrol- ment details is next Friday, March 4. Registrar of electors Maureen Hansen says everyone who's already enrolled should get their EasyVote packs in the mail by tomorrow. If your EasyVote pack hasn't turned up in your letterbox, you need to enrol or update your details now,'' she says. People are already voting in the byelection and yet there are many locals, particularly young people, who still haven't enrolled.'' Ms Hansen says those who aren't enrolled need to get their skates on because they can't do so on election day, March 5. The fastest way to enrol in time is to go to www.elections.org.nz and fill in the enrolment form, print it, sign and date it and then either post, fax or scan and email it. Or people can go to a PostShop and enrol on the spot.
