Photo: DAVID TAURANGA This week's Thanks a Bunch Award goes to June Shackles of Papatoetoe who was nominated by Joan Powell also of Papa- toetoe. While I was in hos- pital June came to visit me every day. When I was discharged June and her husband brought me home, organised my evening meal and much more. Recently my partner was briefly in private care, terminally ill. June offered to visit when I was unavailable and noticed that a lot of the long-term patients did not get visitors. She now visits them several times a week, helping at meal times and on bus trips. June really deserves recognition for her thoughtfulness.''
