Photo: JESSIE COLQUHOUN This week's Good Bloke Award goes to Knoxie Wynward of Manurewa who is nominated by his daughter Dana McGinty of Manurewa. Dana writes: I would like to nomi- nate my dad for the Good Bloke Award because he has always been there for me and my children. I am a working single mum with two boys. My dad works really hard but still finds time to teach my boys the roles of a man including things like taking them fishing, diving and to Scouts. He finds time to build Lego and clean up the yard with them. My dad has also helped me to buy my first home so that I and my two boys have a secure place to live that is ours. He always takes my children out places that I would otherwise not be able to afford like Rainbows End just so they don't miss out on things because they are being raised in a single parent home. We are very lucky to have such an involved man in our lives. I thank him every day for all his help but would love for him to this award as recognition for all the effort he puts into my two boys, future men of our society.''
